Minibus Hire in Dakar

Groups of friends, large families, corporate seminars, weddings: a minibus with driver is the simplest and most cost-effective way to travel together in Senegal. One vehicle, one driver, no taxi coordination.

Use cases

A minibus for every occasion

From airport transfers to a ten-day touring circuit, the minibus adapts to your itinerary and group size.

Group excursions

Lac Rose, Sine Saloum, Saly, Saint-Louis: travel together without splitting into multiple vehicles. The driver handles the road while you enjoy the scenery. Economically better value than 3–4 separate cars.

Seminars and corporate events

Shuttles between hotel and venue, group airport transfers for delegates. One point of contact for all transport logistics. Punctuality guaranteed.

Weddings and ceremonies

Transport guests between mosque, church, registry office and reception venue. Avoids delays, stragglers and individual taxi costs. Driver in appropriate dress.

AIBD airport group transfers

Group meet-and-greet at Blaise Diagne airport. One minibus for 8 to 20 people arriving on the same flight. Simpler and less expensive than 4 taxis.

Popular circuits

Minibus excursions from Dakar

Dakar → Lac Rose (half day): 35 km, lake and salt flats visit, local lunch. The minibus stays on tarmac — a 4×4 support vehicle can be added for the last sandy kilometres if the group wants to get to the water's edge.

Dakar → Saly + Bandia Reserve (full day): 80 km. Safari at Bandia in the morning, lunch in Saly, beach in the afternoon. Back in the evening. The minibus handles the paved road with ease.

Dakar → Saint-Louis (2–3 days): 260 km. UNESCO heritage, Djoudj Bird Sanctuary, Langue de Barbarie. The minibus is comfortable on the N2 national road. Nights in a hotel in Saint-Louis.

Dakar → Sine Saloum (2–3 days): 150 km + pirogue. The minibus takes you to Toubacouta or Ndangane, then a pirogue excursion through the bolongs. Overnight in a delta lodge.

For circuits involving piste driving (Casamance, Bassari country), a standard minibus is not suitable. One or more 4×4s are the better choice.

Comfort

What to know about the minibuses

All minibuses in the Senoto fleet are air-conditioned. Air conditioning is essential in Senegal (35–40°C in the hot season). It is checked before every rental — that is part of the pre-hire inspection.

Seating capacity: 9-seat minibuses are typically a Hiace or Sprinter type. 15–20-seat vehicles are standard minibuses. For groups of 20+, a coach or two minibuses are available. Please specify the exact number of passengers so the right vehicle is assigned.

Luggage: for groups with bulky bags (airport transfers, multi-day circuits), check the boot capacity. Minibuses of 15+ seats have limited loading space — a support vehicle may be needed for large volumes.
