AIBD to everywhere — times and distances
AIBD → Dakar city centre (Plateau): 47 km, 45–75 min depending on traffic. The toll motorway is the standard route. Toll: approximately 3,600 FCFA, cash only at toll booths (keep small FCFA notes handy). Exit at Patte d'Oie for the Plateau, VDN exit for the Almadies.
AIBD → Almadies / Ngor: 55 km, 50–80 min. Same motorway, VDN exit, then towards Pointe des Almadies. Add 10 minutes compared to the Plateau during rush hour.
AIBD → Saly / Mbour: 45 km, 40–50 min. Head south from the airport via the Sindia road. Shorter and smoother than Dakar. If you are staying on the Petite Côte, this is the simplest route.
AIBD → Thiès: 35 km, 25–35 min. The shortest journey from AIBD. Direct, smooth road.
On return: drop the vehicle at AIBD on the day of your flight. Our partner meets you at the desk, conducts the condition check and releases the deposit. Allow 30 minutes between arriving at the desk and reaching the departure gate.
Night flights
Overnight deliveries — what to know
Many flights land at AIBD between 10 pm and 3 am (Air France, Turkish Airlines, Royal Air Maroc, Brussels Airlines, Corsair). The delivery service operates 24/7.
Advantage of arriving at night: the AIBD → Dakar drive is smooth (35–40 min, almost no traffic). If you are comfortable behind the wheel, it is often the best time to make the journey. Otherwise, a stop near the airport is a reasonable option.
Tip: if you land after 1 am and you are tired, consider spending the first night near the airport (Toubab Dialaw, 15 min away) and heading into Dakar the following morning. The vehicle remains at your disposal — no parking penalty.

Is the vehicle delivered even if my flight is delayed?
Yes. Our partner tracks your flight in real time and adjusts at no extra charge. The vehicle remains at your disposal as soon as you walk out of arrivals, even with several hours' delay.
Is the delivery supplement per person or per booking?
Per booking — added once regardless of the number of passengers. You see the exact amount before confirming payment online.
Is the motorway toll included in the delivery?
No. The AIBD → Dakar toll costs approximately 3,600 FCFA and is at your expense for the return journey. Keep cash in FCFA — toll booths are cash only.
Can I return the vehicle at AIBD at the end of my stay?
Yes. You can drop the vehicle at the AIBD desk on the day of your return flight. Allow 30 minutes between your arrival at the desk and reaching the departure gate.
How long between landing and driving away?
Allow 10 to 15 minutes after leaving arrivals: meet-and-greet at the desk, condition report signed, keys handed over. The vehicle is already parked close to the terminal.
