Pick-up at AIBD

How it works, step by step

Named meet-and-greet in arrivals

Our partner waits in the arrivals hall (ground floor, public area) with a sign bearing your name. No need to find a hire desk — they come to you.

Express formalities (10 min)

Driving licence check, contract signed in English, vehicle registration handed over along with the keys and a 24-hour assistance number. Everything is prepared in advance.

Vehicle in car park P1

Your car is waiting in the covered P1 car park, less than 3 minutes' walk from the terminal. Full tank, air conditioning ready, GPS optional. Joint condition report conducted on the spot.

Return just as simple

Park the vehicle in P1 on the day of your departure, hand the keys to our agent. Condition check in 5 minutes, then walk to the check-in terminal.

The airport

AIBD — practical information for travellers

Blaise Diagne Airport (AIBD, IATA code DSS) opened in December 2017. It replaced the former Léopold Sédar Senghor Airport (located inside Dakar, now closed to commercial flights). The single terminal is modern, spacious and well laid out.

The arrivals hall is on the ground floor. After immigration and baggage claim, you exit into the public area where our partner is waiting. Cash machines (FCFA) and SIM card counters (Orange, Free — around 2,000 FCFA for 5 GB) are in the hall.

Car park P1 (covered, CCTV monitored) is to the left as you exit the terminal, a 2–3 minute walk away. Car park P2 (open-air, long-stay) is further out. Your Senoto vehicle is always in P1.

Note: there is no direct public transport between AIBD and Dakar (no train, no regular bus service). Your only options are the official taxi (fixed rate displayed), a private transfer, or your rental car. That is why picking up at the airport makes so much sense.
