The chauffeur service adapts to your needs: a one-off transfer, a full day, or a multi-day road trip across Senegal.
Half day (4 h)
Ideal for an AIBD airport → hotel transfer, two or three city appointments, or a short excursion (Gorée Island, Lac Rose). The driver remains at your disposal for the full duration.
Full day (8–10 h)
An entire day at your disposal. Perfect for a complete Dakar circuit (Plateau, Almadies, Gorée, African Renaissance Monument, Sandaga market) or a day trip to Saly or Lac Rose.
Multi-day
A touring circuit (Saly–Sine Saloum, Saint-Louis–Djoudj, Casamance) or a multi-day business mission. The driver handles the road while you enjoy the scenery or get on with work.
Airport transfer only
Meet-and-greet at AIBD (named card in the arrivals hall) and drop-off at your hotel or residence. Fixed rate, no negotiation. The return to the airport can be included.

Who are Senoto's drivers
Drivers are experienced professionals (5+ years of professional driving), selected by our local partners. Valid professional licence, background check, maintained and insured vehicle.
All drivers are francophone. Many also speak Wolof (useful for local negotiations and conversations in rural areas). Some speak English — state your language preference at booking.
For multi-day circuits, the driver knows the stages, camps, roads to avoid in the rainy season, and border formalities (the Gambia). That is a considerable logistical advantage, especially on a first trip to Senegal.
With or without a driver
When to choose the chauffeur option
Choose a chauffeur if: (1) you have never driven in West Africa, (2) your travel is professional and time lost in traffic has a real cost, (3) you are planning a multi-day circuit with piste driving (Casamance, Bassari country), (4) you are travelling as a group and no one wants to drive, (5) you land at AIBD at night and don't know the road.
Drive yourself if: (1) you are an experienced driver comfortable with African traffic, (2) you value independence and improvisation, (3) you are staying long enough that a daily chauffeur exceeds your budget, (4) you will stick to the main paved roads.
Compromise: some clients book a driver for the first few days (acclimatisation, settling in) then drive themselves for the rest of the trip. That is perfectly possible — discuss it at booking.

Some of our partner drivers speak English — state your preference at booking. All drivers are native French speakers and many speak Wolof (useful in rural areas and at markets).
Is fuel included in the rate?
Yes, the chauffeur rate includes fuel for half-day and full-day options in Dakar. For multi-day circuits or long-distance journeys (Saint-Louis, Casamance), fuel is included in the overall quote.
Can I book a driver for a trip outside Dakar?
Yes. Circuits to Saly (1 h 30), Saint-Louis (4–5 h), Casamance (by plane + local driver, or by road), Sine Saloum, Bassari country. The driver knows the routes, the stops and the border formalities.
How are drivers selected?
Drivers are professionals with 5+ years of experience, selected by our local partners. Valid professional licence, background check, knowledge of Dakar and Senegal's roads.
Who pays for the driver's accommodation on a multi-day circuit?
Accommodation and meals for the driver are at the client's expense. Camps and hotels typically offer a driver's room and board at modest rates (5,000–10,000 FCFA per night). The cost is set out in the quote.
Can I start with a driver and then drive myself?
Yes, that is a common arrangement. A driver for the first few days to settle into local traffic, then independence. Discuss the arrangement at booking for a tailored quote.
Will the driver wait during my meetings?
Yes, that is the principle of the on-call service. The driver stays with the vehicle during your meetings, visits or meals. He is reachable by phone whenever you are ready to be collected.
How does payment work?
